Cookie Policy

This page explains the cookies and similar technologies used on our site. (Draft text - legal review recommended before publishing.)

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Apart from necessary cookies we only use analytics cookies and ad personalization with your consent; you can change your choice at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link at the bottom of the page. Your choice is kept for 6 months.

Cookie categories

  • Necessary: required for the site to work and to remember your choice; cannot be turned off.
  • Analytics: anonymous usage statistics with Google Analytics 4; loaded only with your consent and does not run at all without it.
  • Advertising: Google AdSense ads are shown to every visitor. Without consent they are non-personalized; with consent, advertising cookies and personalization are enabled.

Cookies we use

  • ak_consent (necessary, first party, 6 months): stores your cookie choice, a randomly generated anonymous consent ID, the date of your choice and the policy version in force.
  • .antikkent.auth and .antikkent.af (necessary, admin panel users only, session/14 days): sign-in session and CSRF protection.
  • _ga, _ga_* (analytics, Google, up to 2 years): anonymous statistics cookies that distinguish visitors; only with analytics consent.
  • IDE, DSID, __gads, __gpi and similar (advertising, Google, varies): ad delivery, measurement and personalization; only with advertising consent.

Withdrawing consent and contact

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with the "Cookie preferences" link at the bottom of the page; the change takes effect without reloading the page. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings. For your rights under the GDPR and Turkish KVKK law, see the Privacy Policy page and our contact details.

Ads without consent

Even if you do not accept cookies we keep showing ads on our site, but these ads are not personalized. Without consent Google AdSense runs in non-personalized (limited) ads mode: advertising cookies and targeting based on personal data are not used. Google may nevertheless receive technical data such as your IP address and browser information (user agent) in order to deliver the ad and prevent abuse. If you consent, Google may personalize ads to your interests. Google Analytics 4 runs only if you give analytics consent.

Consent records

Each time you change your choice we keep an anonymous consent record so that we can demonstrate compliance (accountability): your randomly generated consent ID, your choices (analytics/advertising), the date, the banner and policy versions, language, the path of the page visited, a masked IP address (last octet zeroed for IPv4, only the first 48 bits for IPv6) and a hash of your browser information (the raw IP and raw browser information are not stored). These records are kept for 3 years and then deleted automatically. You can see your consent ID in the "Cookie preferences" window and quote it when making a data request.

Security and infrastructure

The error report form sets no cookies; for bot protection a proof-of-work is computed in your browser (ALTCHA). If Cloudflare is enabled, Cloudflare may set its own security cookies (e.g. __cf_bm). Effective date: October 18, 2026. Data controller: Serkan TURNA.
